The pet you have purchased from Joan Olson is guaranteed to be healthy at
time of purchase.To receive the benefit of this guarantee, you must have your
pet examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice within (3) business days
of purchase, as noted below. During the initial exam, should your veterinarian
find this animal to be a poor health risk or detect any physical health problem
or disease, you must contact Joan Olson immediately. No veterinary bills will
be paid for the exam. In the event that your pet does not pass the initial exam-
ination, you must return it to Joan Olson immediately with a veterinary report
of the diagnosis.
Puppies bought with limited AKC registration must be spayed or neutered
by one year of age. All puppies are sold with limited AKC registration
unless they are sold on a show contract. Limited AKC
registration papers will be released upon proof of spay or neuter.
In the event that you decide to keep your puppy and have had the initial ex-
amination done by a veterinarian within (3) business days of puchase date, you
are entitled to a health guarantee up to two years from puppy's birthday.
No specific OFA scores are guaranteed as each veterinarian will rate a little
differently. Breeder has right to have animal examined by vet of their choice,
within 24 hours of claim. As stated above, the dog must have a diagnosis by a
licensed veterinarian in order to make a claim and confirmed by a vet of breeder's
choice. The following genetic defects will be covered in this guarantee: Hip Displaysia
rated severe causing significant loss of the quality of life and deemed too severe for
a surgical solution. Heart defects causing death of the dog before age two. Macular
degeneration causing loss of sight is covered, however the eyelids are not covered in this
guarantee as European danes have more droopiness and looseness occurring naturally
in their eyelids. Veterinary examination expenses will not be paid by breeder.
No compensation by breeder will be made in excess of purchase price of puppy.
Travel expenses are buyer's responsibility. Buyer is advised by breeder that
the pet they are purchasing should be fed a premium feed appropriate for their
breed as recommended by the breeder. Extra calcium should never be given to
the puppy. Wormings and shots should be administered on schedule. The animal
should be given sanitary and adequate housing in order to maintain the animal's
optimum health. The buyer has read and understands the pet guarantee and
acknowledges that the initial examination must be made within (3) business
days of purchase and that submissions of veterinary reports are conditions
precedent to the effectiveness of the pet guarantee. Any possible litigation regarding
this contract will be held in the State of Missouri, County of Maries.
All puppies will have "Great View's" at the beginning of their registered name.
In the event that you can't keep your pet, it must be returned to Great View Danes for placement in another home of our preference.
